Overview
To support me with domestic tasks around the home as well as accompanying me and encouraging me to get out in the community. Some personal care will be required.
Hours of Work
There are 10.5 hours per week available. I require support most days. Currently, the days I am recruiting for are Monday and Friday 4 hours and Sunday 2.5 hours. Ideally the hours will be worked between 09:00am – 13:00 each day, but this can be discussed further at interview.
Pay
£15.25 per hour plus double pay on bank holidays
Responsibilities
* Preparing and cooking a meal for me
* Some personal care
* Cleaning my home
* Other odd jobs around the house as required (e.g., changing bedding)
* Helping me put on my socks and shoes if needed due to my knee problems
* Helping me to attend any appointments I may have
* Weekly shopping
* Accompany me to access social support
* Support to help maintain my garden, including light sweeping and tidying
Qualifications and preferences
* Somebody who will be reliable
* Previous experience would be desirable
* Someone who will encourage me to go out and care about my welfare
* A car driver will be essential with access to own vehicle
Employment conditions and checks
* This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
* All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
* Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
* Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
