Job Description: Catering Assistant at Hull College
Hull College is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to deliver high-quality food and beverage services across our outlets. The role involves cash handling, till operation, and hospitality delivery. Flexibility in working hours is required to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, cook, and serve foods and beverages.
2. Prepare sandwiches, paninis, salad boxes, and package and label items.
3. Set up and clear counters as needed.
4. Maintain cleanliness in service, preparation, and dining areas.
5. Handle cash, operate cash registers, and perform cashing-up procedures.
6. Monitor temperatures of hot and cold foods, maintaining records.
7. Manage stock control, including ordering, receiving, and rotating stock.
8. Maintain vending machines and display units.
9. Ensure high standards of personal hygiene and food safety practices.
10. Work across all catering areas, including coffee services.
Candidate Requirements:
* Level 2 in Food Safety.
* Level 1 Numeracy and Literacy (willing to work towards).
* Basic cooking skills experience.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Commitment to high-quality service provision.
