Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services Design. A respected building services engineering consultancy in South Croydon is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work closely with clients, and contribute to high-quality, design-led engineering solutions across multiple sectors.

These projects offer a mix of new-build and refurbishment work, with a strong focus on technical quality and sustainable engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver detailed electrical design across multiple projects, from concept to handover.
* Produce high-quality drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, and design packages.
* Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, and end clients to achieve coordinated design solutions.
* Carry out design duties covering lighting, power, containment, life safety systems, smart technologies, and renewable energy solutions.
* Attend design team meetings, client presentations, and site inspections.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practice.
* Provide guidance to intermediate and junior engineers as needed.
About You
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Strong consultancy background with proven experience delivering electrical building services design.
* Confident communicator with excellent technical and problem-solving ability.
* Proficient in Amtech/Trimble, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD; Revit experience is an advantage.
* Understanding of low-carbon design principles, Part L, and modern building services requirements.
* Able to manage projects independently and contribute to a supportive, collaborative team culture.
