ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT (Trips & Visits)
We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated Administration Assistant to administer trips and visits for the Secondary Phase. This includes arranging transport and making bookings in collaboration with the relevant staff members. In addition to trip co-ordination, you will also carry out a range of administrative tasks to support the day to day operation of the main admin office, providing timely and effective administrative support.
The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of Enrichment Week, which takes place annually at the end of the academic year and offers students in Years 7-9 the opportunity to participate in a wide range of enriching experiences. These include residential and day trips, as well as engaging activities held on-site. In addition to Enrichment Week, the role involves overseeing other trips and visits throughout the year, including compulsory curriculum-linked trips —particularly in subjects such as Geography, where fieldwork directly supports examination outcomes. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate confidence in managing a high-volume workload with competing priorities, and possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks to ensure smooth delivery of all events.
You will also provide ad-hoc reception cover as needed, which includes handling in-person and telephone enquiries and creating a welcoming environment for all visitors.
We are looking for a strong administrator with:
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
A flexible, team orientated approach and a ‘can do’ attitude
Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook is essential
The ability to work efficiently across with various systems.
This is a permanent position of 30 hours per week and is for term time plus 3 INSET training days.
Working Hours:
30 hours per week, term time plus 3 INSET training days
10:00am to 4:00pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary:
Administration Assistant (Grade 5)
Full-time salary (52 weeks) from £25,583 to £26,402 per annum
Term-time salary (30hrs per week/term time plus 3 days) from £17,581 to £18,144 per annum
