Role Overview:
We are looking for professional, well-organized individuals to perform the role of a domestic loss adjuster. The role involves handling a portfolio of domestic losses, visiting customers, and finalizing claims. With experience and professional qualifications, you may progress to handling claims up to £100k. Full training will be provided.
We consider candidates with no loss adjusting experience but with the right attributes. The role offers a mix of site, home, and office-based work, supporting a healthy work/life balance. You will engage with multiple stakeholders, so excellent communication and coordination skills are essential. Support and training will be provided for remote working if necessary.
Required for this role:
* Effective communication with policyholders, insurance companies, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Strong analytical skills to assess causes and extents of losses.
* Ability to handle complex property damage claims.
* Accuracy in assessing damages and determining compensation.
* Time management skills to handle multiple claims and meet deadlines.
* Empathy and excellent customer service skills.
* Negotiation skills for fair settlements.
* Willingness to work away from home during busy periods or as needed.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
* Adaptability to different situations for effective claim resolution.
* Understanding of insurance policies and claims processes, or basic knowledge of home insurance and construction.
