What we're looking for: A good degree in an engineering discipline (or demonstrably equivalent experience in machining) Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and NC machining hardware is beneficial. A solid understanding of fundamental machining processes and techniques. The ability to collaborate effectively within both small and large teams. A creative approach to problem-solving, with an eye for long-term solutions. Allied to this research activity the machining group develop processes using techniques created by the technology teams and make demonstration components to prove these processes, so that they can be introduced into industry with real impact. This includes components and fixturing associated with key sectors; Aerospace, Automotive, Future Propulsion, Medical and Defence.
