Job Overview
As a Hyperbaric Nurse, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team ensuring patients receive safe and high-quality care in accordance with NHS and QinetiQ guidelines. Day-to-day, you'll deliver patient-centred nursing care, undertake clinical assessments, and provide support during hyperbaric oxygen therapy, while contributing to ongoing training, governance and clinical excellence within the team.
Responsibilities
* Deliver nursing care, assessment, planning and evaluation for hyperbaric and NHS patients
* Monitoring patients' condition and maintaining accurate clinical records
* Participating in audits, clinical governance and continuous professional development
* Supporting training and induction for staff and students
* Maintaining personal competency and fitness to work within the hyperbaric chamber
* Participating in on-call duties, which may include UK and overseas travel
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with intensive care or critical care experience
* Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
* Experience working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Knowledge of NHS clinical governance and best practice
* Effective communicator with strong documentation and record-keeping skills
* Ability to remain calm and adaptable in high-pressure clinical situations
* Full NMC registration
* Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
* Postgraduate qualification in Intensive Care Nursing or equivalent
