We are looking for a highly motivated HR professional to increase capacity within the HR Business Improvement Team.
Our new HR Advisor will work alongside colleagues to support a specific area of the Council or our partners, including schools. The role is wide-ranging and varied and is pivotal to enabling and supporting senior managers deliver their workforce plans and find solutions to complex HR matters. Our HR Advisors support the delivery of key organisational priorities and projects and support the development and delivery of a customer focussed HR service.
A typical day might include analysing data on absence trends to summarise and present to a senior manager or customer; answering queries from a different manager about a complex workforce matter; meeting with a third area about an ongoing organisational change and supporting them with their consultation process and then attending a project meeting on a key priority work area.
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people who have knowledge of Local Government and school terms and conditions of employment and an understanding of the principles of organisational change in complex unionised organisations.
