About the Organisation
Hopefields is an independent school for young people aged 11‑16 with complex and/or social, emotional and mental health needs. We provide therapeutic outdoor learning, bushcraft, nature‑based activities, and animal care to support transformative education.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality support to learners with diverse needs in woodland, farmland, and outdoor environments.
* Set up and manage areas required for Forest Schools education.
* Care for small and farm animals, including therapeutic work with horses and ponies.
* Maintain animal health care and support students in animal handling.
* Promote strong connections with the local community and third‑sector organisations.
* Travel between multiple sites, partner schools, and community settings; obtain a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in outdoor education or related field.
* Knowledge of forest schools, nature-based teaching, and therapeutic outdoor work.
* Comfortable handling, maintaining and caring for animals.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently, creatively, and positively in a physically demanding role.
