Help shape one of the UK's most significant NHS transformations
Bristol NHS Group, which brings together North Bristol NHS Trust and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking two exceptional Non‑Executive Directors (NEDs) to join its Board during a pivotal period.
Following the Group’s formation in April 2025, the two organisations will formally merge in July 2026 to create a new Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest and most influential NHS organisations in England. The Trust will serve 1.5 million people, employ 28,000 staff and deliver services across 13 sites with a £2.6 bn turnover.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new organisation at scale, driving improvements in patient care, population health, innovation and value for money. The Trust aims to become an Advanced Foundation Trust and a leader in research, innovation and integrated care.
