We are looking for an experienced Panel Wirer/ Fitter to join Operations team in an established family-owned business in Leeds. Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.The RoleYour core duties will be the fitting of various types of distribution and power transformersYou will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassembliesYou will be expected to maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers requirements.You will check and complete all paperwork associated with the works orderPerformance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems, shortages or equipment breakdownUsing general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the fitting roleQuality inspection of colleagues outputSkills, Knowledge & Experience:Hands on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is essential.The ability to understand mechanical and schematic drawings.Mechanical or electrical qualification desirableIdeally apprentice trainedHave good written and verbal communication skillsExperience of working collaboratively with other operations personnelIdeally experience of working within a continuous improvement environmentStrong attention to detailGood communication skillsSalary and benefits:Salary negotiable25 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidaysCompany Profit Share SchemeTwo paid breaksNine-day fortnightHealthcare cash planExcellent canteen facility with tea, coffee and milk providedEV salary sacrifice schemePensionParking on siteWorking hours:Nine-day fortnight, plus two paid breaks:Week 1 :Monday to Thursday (week 1) - 7.45 am and 4.45 pmWeek2: Monday to Thursday and 7.45 am to 4.45 pm and Friday 7:45am-3:30pmTPBN1_UKTJ
