As well as having an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm. Key responsibilities To work with the General Manager to organise and deliver a successful operation of our events and daily culinary offer. Responsible for setting up and running the events Responsible for managing the Dining Hall with the team Ensure all events run as per the schedules laid out Act as an allergy champion Build positive working relationships & communication methods with key departments To brief the team daily on all aspects of the business and to oversee the running of all assigned areas To meet clients and ensure their customer journey is flawless with meeting them on arrival making sure that the event is as they require. Also ensuring that any changes/amendments on the day are communicated on to the relevant people where necessary. To assist in the development of the operations waiting team, making sure that they adhere to standards set out To ensure that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, including (but not exclusively) The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, the COSHH regulations, GDPR, Safeguarding etc. within the areas of responsibility. Qualifications A strong background in large scale hospitality events, banquets and sit down dinners Excellent product knowledge (food/beverage) Experience in F&B operations/High Street Restaurants A positive demeanour and attitude to solve problems Leads by example by acting professionally at all times Excellent communication skills Takes the initiative Good time management Supportive / Team player Good presentation skills Excellent customer care skills Additional Information Holroyd Howe is one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges.
