Leafair Community Association Ltd (LCA) aims to empower local people by promoting new opportunities, raise awareness, & give the community a collective base from which they can proactively address concerns.The Project Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and delivering the objectives of the Leafair Community Association Ltd (LCA) and work in partnership to promote activities of the Ballyarnett DEA.The post holder will be responsible for the design and delivery of activities and programmes, and maintain administrative and financial systems in accordance with requirements. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring that systems are in place to monitor, evaluate, and measure the outcomes of the organisation and its activities.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all aspects of Leafair Community Association Ltd (LCA).
* Ensure the organisation and its activities meet all aspects of its objectives and outcomes, including reporting requirements, in line with funding requirements.
* Co-ordinate the roll out and delivery of all aspects of LCA Ltd, and its various work streams.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including community groups, statutory bodies, project partners, and funders.
* Actively seek additional funding and other support to help build project sustainability.
* Report directly to the Board of LCA Ltd.
* Oversee the recruitment process for all project staff including recruitment, supervision and retention.
* Oversee and support project staff in all aspects of their role and function, ensuring effective team collaboration and performance towards agreed programme targets and actions.
* Manage organisation and project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and compliance with all LCA Ltd policies and procedures and reporting requirements.
* Supervise and work with the Finance Officer to oversee financial reporting, expenditure tracking, and audits in line with LCA Ltd policies and procedures and the requirements of funders.
* Ensure regular financial and administrative reporting to LCA Ltd Management Committee as required.
* Design, engage and implement community initiatives, fostering collaboration, cohesion, and engagement.
* Ensure LCA Ltd aligns with best practices in community development.
* Represent LCA Ltd in all dealings with funders, partners, at events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
Skills and Qualifications
* Applicants must possess a level 6 qualification in a management related field and two years’ experience of planning and coordinating community development led revenue and projects or a min 5 years' experience managing community projects.
* Experience in delivering community project(s) including managing staff and volunteers, budgets; financial controls; monitoring and evaluating; reporting; and programme development.
* Experience in sourcing funding.
* Experience in preparing and presenting written reports.
* An understanding of the voluntary and community sector.
* Experience in the networking of groups and organisations.
* Experience and a working knowledge of using I.T and software packages such as Word and Excel and variety of databases in which to gather required information.
* Good communicator with inter-personal and organisational skills.
* Ability to communicate financial information.
* Work to a high level of accuracy.
* Ability to prioritise/meet deadlines
* Willing to work within the mission, vision and values of Leafair Community Association Ltd.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Knowledge of the issues in the Ballyarnett DEA and wider area.
* Knowledge of cross community/cross border community development.
* Experience and understanding in the use of Social Media.
