Digital Transformation Lead
Location: Milton Keynes - hybrid (2.5 days in the office; rotating schedule of 2 and 3 days per week)
Salary: £86,500 base salary plus excellent benefits, including a 10% bonus, 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, paid parking, and more!

Are you a dynamic and experienced Technical Leader ready to spearhead digital transformation in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment? We seek a strategic, hands-on leader to oversee the end-to-end delivery and operational management of IT infrastructure services for a diverse client base.
Note: One major client is based in the USA, so occasional travel is required, along with participation in calls outside typical UK working hours.
About the Role
As a Digital Transformation Lead, your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
* Lead and evolve support operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
* Combine deep technical expertise in Microsoft infrastructure with operational leadership.
* Serve as a technical escalation point for infrastructure projects and operational issues.
* Mentor engineers and engage directly with clients to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations, improve support processes, and ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs. Lead multidisciplinary technical teams, including Wintel engineers, cloud specialists, and client engineers.
2. Client & Service Delivery Management: Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, providing strategic guidance and oversight. Collaborate with account managers and project teams to align technical services with contractual and business needs.
3. Technical Leadership & Strategy: Lead infrastructure upgrade and migration projects, ensuring security, patching, and compliance. Oversee Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance technologies such as Defender, Purview, and Conditional Access.
4. People & Process: Mentor engineers, assess skills and training needs, and support career development.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Preferred Qualifications
* Leadership experience in technical operations or infrastructure delivery, preferably within an MSP.
* Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft 365 security & compliance platforms.
* Experience managing SLAs, escalations, and incident workflows.
* Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and ISO environments.
* Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator/Architect, Windows Server, M365 Security).
* Experience with monitoring tools and backup systems like Veeam, Commvault, SolarWinds.
* Experience with Agile and PRINCE2 methodologies.
* Broad understanding of networking, virtualization, and infrastructure components.
