Legal Administrator – Private Client (Whitley Bay, Office Based)

Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 per year (DOE, Living Wage aligned)
Location: Whitley Bay, commutable from Tynemouth, North Shields, Cullercoats, Monkseaton, Shiremoor
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

We are seeking a Legal Administrator to join our busy Private Client department. You will be supporting solicitors with Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).

This is an administrative support role, not a training contract pathway or fee-earning position. It is suited to someone who enjoys admin work and wants to build a long-term career in a support function.

What You'll Do

1. Provide administrative support across Wills, Probate and LPA matters.
2. Manage and organise case files.
3. Draft standard correspondence and assist with forms/applications.
4. Liaise with clients in a professional and sensitive manner.
5. Handle incoming calls, emails, and post.
6. General team and office support.

About You

7. Previous office/administration experience essential in the legal sector.
8. Familiarity with Wills & Probate processes is a strong advantage.
9. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
10. Strong communication and client care skills.
11. IT literate, confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
12. Comfortable in a support role and not seeking progression to a solicitor position.
