Overview
Salary: £20 per hour- Level 3 + above. £15 per hour- Level 2.
An exciting vacancy is available as a Rugby Academy Forwards + Skills Coach in the Sports department at Cardiff and the Vale College. This post will be based at the Cardiff International Sports Campus and other sites.
Responsibilities
* To engage in knowledge transfer, continuous professional development, consultancy and other forms of external engagement, as appropriate.
* Assisting with the development of players through the Academy and Development teams.
* Assist with the development of all aspects of forward play and associated skills.
* Assist with development of set piece technique/skills at both scrum and lineout, within safe practices.
* Be responsible for the coaching of set piece core techniques/skills, along with general core skills of the game (Contact area, catch pass, decision making).
* Facilitating a player centred culture and environment both on and off the field.
* In line with Head of Rugby's strategy and linked with the Sports Performance Department.
* Player communication and individual feedback.
* Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.
