We have an exciting new opportunity for a receptionist to join the team based at Tiptree Medical Centre on a part time or full time basis. General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job
* booking appointments,
* answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff,
* liaising with patients using various types of communication methods.

We have an excellent nursing team comprising 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), 1 Paramedic, 4 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, 2 Clinical Pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy Technician.

Person Specification
Experience
* Good standard of education including Maths and English.
* Experience of working and providing customer services.
* Strong IT skills and be able to use computer-based systems.
* Excellent communication skills both written and orally.
* Friendly and positive approach towards patients and other visitors either in person or over the telephone.
* Ideally you will have reception experience, and it would be beneficial if you have experience working within primary care, however this is not essential.
* Experience of SystmOne would be desirable, however full training will be given to a suitable candidate.
