Customs Clearance Overview
Our client is a growing logistics and freight forwarder specialising in temperature-controlled supply chains and perishable logistics. With a strong international position within the fruit and fresh produce supply chain, the business is currently expanding its operations across the United Kingdom and Europe. As an experienced customs specialist, you will be responsible for managing UK customs processes, ensuring the correct handling of import and export shipments.
This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, work collaboratively with operations teams, and bring valuable knowledge and ideas to support the wider logistics operation.
Customs Clearance Clerk Key Responsibilities
1. Independently handle import and export customs clearances
2. Complete customs declarations using Custrans software (training provided)
3. Manage sea freight import customs processes and support export entries where required
4. Prepare, review and submit customs documentation and declarations
5. Ensure full compliance with UK and international customs regulations
