Landau Forte Academy Tamworth Sixth Form & QEMS are popular oversubscribed academies in Tamworth. QEMS was judged as GOOD by Ofsted in September 2022. Tamworth Sixth Form was judged as GOOD with OUTSTANDING features in November 2024. You will be supported in your career through our extensive CPD programme including the opportunity to complete nationally recognised qualifications. * Hours: 15 hours per week (2.30pm – 5.30pm)
* Contract: Year round – permanent position

The person we are looking for should be:

* Excellent at managing their own time and priorities.
* Personable with a friendly disposition.
* Willing to lend a hand, but make sure the job is done well.
* Trained or experienced in cleaning roles.
* Willing to work some unsociable hours to support the Academy facilities lettings.

Job description

Our Site team maintain and develop our facilities, alongside the crucial day-to-day work of preparing spaces for learning. The normal shift pattern for this position is working 12.30pm to 5.30pm 3.30pm to Monday to Friday, with additional hours possible at weekends.

Duties for this job will include (but are not limited to):

* Cleaning of equipment and facilities, including scheduled deep cleaning in Academy holidays.
* Clearing and setting up of spaces for learning.
* Promoting the safe use of our facilities, including the regular monitoring of safety equipment
* Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities relevant to the post as directed by the Site Manager.

Landau Forte Academy QEMS & Tamworth Sixth Form

Landau Forte Academy QEMS joined the Landau Forte Charitable Trust in September 2011 and delivers education to 11-16 year olds. Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form is a purpose-built establishment providing Level 3 courses, both Advanced Level and BTEC, for the whole of Tamworth and beyond. The academies are located on a shared campus, but both operate from their own facilities, with Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form having new bespoke, accommodation, which opened in September 2011, with a new Sports Hall that opened in 2013.

The local area

Tamworth is a historic town surrounded by beautiful countryside, located a short distance from Birmingham. The Academy is located close to the centre of Tamworth, with superb transport links. Tamworth boasts a range of historical sites and leisure attractions, including: Tamworth Castle; the Tamworth SnowDome and Drayton Manor Amusement Park. Within a 20 minute drive from the town, you can find yourself in the beautiful, open Staffordshire countryside or Birmingham's bustling city centre.

· Direct trains from Birmingham (10 minutes) and London (1 hour 15 minutes)

· Birmingham and East Midlands Airports are 30 minutes away
