Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager – Manchester\n\nAn outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join the Diamorph CPM Group, based at their Manchester site. This permanent position offers the chance to lead on all aspects of Quality and HS&E management, ensuring compliance, driving best practice, and shaping a positive culture of safety and quality across the organisation.\n\nAs Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, the successful candidate will report to the Head of Quality and Head of Health, Safety & Environment, Permali, and will take responsibility for overseeing legal compliance, implementing management systems, and leading a small team, including a Quality Engineer and a Process Engineer. Based in Manchester, this is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic oversight with day-to-day operational delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities of the Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager:\n\n * \n\n Manage all onsite Quality and HS&E activities for the Manchester CPM value stream\n\n * \n\n Maintain and develop Quality and HS&E management systems to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards\n\n * \n\n Lead and mentor a small Quality team, providing guidance and direction\n\n * \n\n Manage statutory inspections, audits, and risk assessments (PUWER, COSHH, DSEAR, Fire, Manual Handling etc.)\n\n * \n\n Drive cultural change across Health, Safety and Environmental practices\n\n * \n\n Oversee customer and supplier non-conformance management, including root cause analysis\n\n * \n\n Lead problem-solving initiatives to reduce manufacturing losses, scrap, and MRB\n\n * \n\n Deliver employee inductions, toolbox talks, and HS&E training programmes\n\n * \n\n Act as key liaison with customers, suppliers, certification bodies, and auditors\n\n * \n\n Ensure legal compliance across all areas of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment\n\n * \n\n Report regularly on KPI performance into the CPM Group\n\nSkills & Experience Required:\n\n * \n\n Proven track record in Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Management within manufacturing\n\n * \n\n GRAD IOSH membership (or higher), with Lead Auditor certification for ISO 45001 & ISO 9001\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams\n\n * \n\n Advanced IT skills, with strong competence in MS Office tools\n\n * \n\n Analytical and methodical approach, with excellent attention to detail\n\nDesirable:\n\n * \n\n NEBOSH certification (or willingness to gain)\n\n * \n\n AIEMA Environmental status\n\n * \n\n Experience in OHSAS 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 standards\n\n * \n\n CDM experience and ILM qualification\n\n * \n\n Train the Trainer qualification (PETTLS)\n\n * \n\n Familiarity with PFMEA and Control Plans\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to take on a varied and rewarding leadership role in Manchester, working within a dynamic and progressive organisation
