Social Value Manager
Base location dependent on successful candidate with a balance of home and office working
£44,192 - £46,517 per year

We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Social Value Manager to shape the future of Sanctuary’s social value work to support our Sustainable Communities programme across England and Scotland.
Reporting to the Head of Community Investment, this is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of our social value strategy. The role is pivotal in securing social value resources through our supply chain to build our Sustainable Communities Programme which supports hundreds of charitable initiatives that build resilience, connection and wellbeing for our customers each year.
Working across departments and with external partners, you’ll embed social value into our operations, projects, and procurement processes ensuring it is measurable, impactful, and aligned with internal goals and external expectations.
The role of Social Value Manager will include:
* Lead the delivery of the Group’s social value strategy, securing supplier commitments and ensuring accountability for outcomes
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to support community initiatives which achieve social impact
* Develop systems to track and report social value contributions, working with procurement and finance to protect income for charitable purposes
* Analyse and present data to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions
* Promote the impact of our investment in communities through effective and influential communications
Skills and experiences:
* Proven experience in social value delivery, including tender support, bid writing and partnership development
* Strong strategic thinking and project leadership skills
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities
* A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for social impact
* Understanding of the challenges faced by people living in social housing
* Familiarity with social value frameworks and reporting standards
* Strong analytical, writing, and reporting skills
* Confidence working autonomously and collaboratively across functions
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Project)
* Knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to social value
