The role of Internal Quality Assurer will include:
1. Assess and verify a caseload of up to 20 candidates
2. Visit learners to complete observations
3. Holding remote sessions via teams to support candidates with their work
4. Verifying work for VARCS (valid, authentic, realistic, current and sufficient) requirements and providing feeding back to assessor on judgements made
5. Working towards completion targets to enable us to achieve our targets of 200 learners per year for the team
6. Undertaking internal quality assurance checks of assessments for Vocational Awards
7. Assisting with the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with both internal and external customers
8. Supporting the development of quality staff by coaching and mentoring others, you will also be responsible for ensuring the required skilled staff are available to meet awarding body requirements and business needs
9. Ensuring accurate records are maintained on progress and completions
Skills and experiences:
10. D32,33,34 – V1 or Scottish equivalent D9, D9i or A1 and V1 are essential
11. Health and social care management qualification at level 2,3,4 or 5 is essential
12. NVQ3 or equivalent in relevant discipline and a Vocational Assessors award and Internal Verifiers award (A1/V1) or equivalent
13. Care service leadership or equivalent
14. Able to demonstrate maintenance of Continuous Professional Development
15. Working knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice principles
16. Professional experience in disciplines relevant to the NVQ’s being delivered
17. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work loads
18. Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams
19. Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential

30. Role salary is £26,982 with an additional policy allowance of £5,237 per annum (rising to £28,402 with an additional policy allowance of £5,512 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
