Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operative Location: Hayes, Middlesex Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights available) Salary: Competitive (Dependent on experience) Overview: We are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable Forklift Operatives to join a well-established airfreight operation based in Hayes. This role involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment handling freight for import/export, loading/unloading aircraft containers, and ensuring compliance with security and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate a Counterbalance Forklift to load and unload airfreight shipments. Safely move goods within the warehouse and on/off vehicles. Conduct pre-shift and post-shift forklift checks. Assist with warehouse duties when required (e.g. pallet building, shrink wrapping, labelling). Ensure all freight is handled securely and in line with aviation security requirements. Work closely with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet deadlines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work area. Requirements: Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB/ITSSAR accredited). Minimum 5-year checkable employment/education history (essential for airfreight security clearance). Clean DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Previous experience in an airfreight or logistics environment preferred. Flexibility to work both day and night shifts on a 4 on 4 off rota. Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
