Through Business Banking (BB), our global network offers comprehensive support and services to businesses in the SME market. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to-end solutions designed to help small businesses reach their potential.
We are currently seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to join this team as an Agriculture Relationship Director.
The Relationship Management role provides dedicated relationship management to a portfolio of customers with accountability for sales, service, risk, and operational delivery. Relationship Managers may be located in fields of Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Global Banking, Private Banking, or Product Sales. This role involves internal and external stakeholders, including Sales, Product Development, Risk & Compliance teams.
In this role, you will :
* Focus on growing the business sustainably by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships through HSBC's extensive network.
* Drive revenue growth by understanding customer needs and adopting a needs-based approach to increase new business.
* Manage work and support resources effectively to enhance the quality and quantity of client visits, collaborating with Group colleagues to deliver suitable solutions.
* Deepen understanding of clients via proactive credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews.
* Manage financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, ensuring adherence to HSBC standards and policies, and reporting breaches as required.
* Stay informed about developments, products, competitors, and market changes.
* Ensure prompt escalation or sharing of relevant client information to maintain comprehensive risk understanding.
The ideal candidate will have:
* The ability to influence and drive high performance to improve efficiency and grow business.
* Skills to gather, analyze, and interpret comprehensive information to provide sustainable, commercially viable solutions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective dialogue with internal and external customers.
* An understanding of the Agriculture marketplace and competitive landscape to establish HSBC's advantage.
* Ability to anticipate and manage risks effectively.
* Strong planning and organizational skills to handle unexpected issues and identify customer needs for appropriate solutions.
This is a hybrid role based in Cheltenham, covering Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, and Gloucestershire areas.
