As a key member within the School's Electronic Services team, you'll be based in our well‑equipped Electrical Workshops, supporting activities across the main campus and satellite sites (including Buxton & ICAIR). You'll work closely with the Technical Manager and colleagues while taking the lead on:
* Leading the manufacture of bespoke specialist equipment and components for cutting‑edge research projects
* Integrating control systems and delivering complex tailored solutions
* Providing technical expertise and support to undergraduate projects, postgraduate research, and Faculty of Engineering collaborators
* Analysing and working from detailed technical documentation to deliver high‑quality outcomes
