Here at GXO, we are searching for a Shift Manager to join our team in Peterborough, managing a mountain warehouse contract. You will be responsible for the efficient running of warehouse operations, prioritising colleague wellbeing, health and safety whilst meeting operational KPIs.

Salary: £38,000.00 per annum. Shift allowances apply for night shifts. 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays). Work schedule
Full‑time, permanent position on a 5 out of 7 rota with flexibility required. Shifts include 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00, or 22:00–06:00.
What you’ll do on a typical day
* Understand the short‑to‑medium term plans of customers and operational requirements for each shift by working with First Line Managers to review volumes and forecasts.
* Liaise with inventory, admin and quality teams to ensure stock availability and integrity via routine inspections.
* Follow up promptly on preventive/remedial actions where investigations identify business‑attributable faults.
* Maintain awareness of budgeted headcount for the contract and the breakdown of full‑time and part‑time colleagues.
What you need to succeed at GXO
* Experience leading a warehouse team within a large, fast‑paced environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good knowledge of H&S policies and procedures.
