New Direction Support is looking to recruit Team Leaders/Practice Champions looking for a new challenge? As a Team Leader/Practice Champion you will support the Management Team on the ground and play an important part in the care structure by mentoring Support Workers with a sole focus on delivering care that meets the specific needs of the individual. You will be part of a team who have achieved GOLD accreditation from Investors in People. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES · Support People with a variety of learning disabilities, autism, mental health and behaviours of concern. Ensuring there is a positive work culture based on PBS practices · Meeting service user needs & wants. Promoting quality of sleep (QoS) & quality of life (QoL) · Coaching staff (modelling & feedback) · Reviewing staff practices. On Call responsibilities QUALITIES · Patient and Tolerant · Reliable and Flexible · Determined and Motivated · Have excellent communication skills · Focused on empowering and developing people · Able to organise and prioritise effectively. Ability to follow and promote policies and procedures ESSENTIAL · 2 years’ experience in a care setting in the UK. willing to develop own skills in a form of a qualification. full valid UK driving licence and a car for working purposes/transport. this role comes with some OnCall responsibilities.
