Our client is a successful business that has an opportunity for a Bid Writer to join their team – this role is hybrid. They are seeking someone who has a way with words, someone who has a flair for content creation, and who has strong organisational skills. As the Bid Writer, you will be responsible for delivering amazing written content for proposals and presentations on behalf of our client.
With offices in both London and Staffordshire, our client provides financial services across the UK. Job Description:
As the successful Bid Writer, you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting in the preparation of bids within set deadlines
2. To attend planning and initial meetings and to be a key contributor having undertaken market research and client research ahead of the meeting
3. To request and collate all data from relevant parties
4. To produce method statements and answer specific questions to each individual bid, tailoring to the local authority, ensuring win themes are articulated in such a way as to meet/exceed client requirements to create high-quality sales and strategy-driven proposals documents
5. Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant
6. To deliver completed written proposal responses to the Senior Bid Writer or Bid Manager, against agreed deadlines, escalating issues as required
7. Assist in reviewing post-decision information and improving the tender library answers to assist with future bids
8. Formulate and collate presentation material, including handouts to assist with bids and sales opportunities
9. On an ad-hoc basis use knowledge of the business to assist in the production of summary documents, newsletters, and other marketing material when required
It would be good to see Bid Writer candidates with the following experience:
10. Educated to degree level or have a 2 years bid writing/copywriting expertise
11. Strong English language skills and experience in writing effective content
12. Experience in writing sales and strategy-based proposals
13. Strong IT skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: £ 30,000 + company bonus
