We are seeking to appoint two Nurses to join our Medical Centre. The successful candidates will work a rotating shift pattern of approximately 20 hours per week, including weekends. Additional hours, including sleep night duties, may be required. Work hours will be discussed with applicants and are term time only (about 34 weeks), excluding 4 Leave Out weekends. Overnight cover may be needed, with sleeping facilities provided. Some Leave Out weekends may be required depending on pupil attendance.
What you'll be doing
The Nurse's role involves caring for pupils in the Medical Centre, providing prompt, effective, and compassionate medical care. You will also promote health awareness across the College and offer medical education, support, and guidance on health issues. The Medical Centre operates a 24/7 service during term time.
You'll have
1. Registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
2. Evidence of CPD and a valid NMC registration PIN.
3. Experience caring for children, with empathy and understanding of their development and needs.
4. Strong communication skills, attentive listening, and a sensitive, empathetic approach.
5. Ability to prioritize, manage changing priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a medical team.
7. Driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
8. Proficiency in various software packages.
