MCT Fundamentals IT Trainer (Microsoft Certified Trainer)
Location: Harlow, Essex (In-house role with a mix of classroom and live online delivery)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum
About the Role
A growing IT training provider is seeking a Fundamentals IT Trainer with active Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) status to deliver high-quality, beginner-focused IT training to learners who are starting or transitioning into technology careers.
This is an in-house role based in Harlow, combining classroom delivery and live online training. The role is heavily focused on foundational IT concepts, so the ability to explain technical topics clearly and simply is essential.
You will play a key role in delivering structured training programmes and supporting learners throughout their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
As an IT Trainer, you will:
* Deliver engaging classroom-based and live online training sessions
* Deliver Microsoft fundamentals training, including:
o AZ-900 – Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
o SC-900 – Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals
o DP-900 – Microsoft Data Fundamentals
o AI-900 – Microsoft AI Fundamentals
* Deliver introductory training in Networking and SQL
* Provide 1-to-1 learner support sessions to reinforce learning and confidence
* Support learners with labs, study guidance, and progression planning
* Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training materials
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high-quality learner experience
In-House Learner Support
When classes are not running, you will provide training-aligned learner support, including:
* Lab guidance and learning support
* Light phone and email-based learner assistance
This is not a call-centre or IT helpdesk role. All support is focused on learner progression and outcomes.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
* Active Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) status (essential)
* Strong IT fundamentals across cloud, security, networking, or data
* Confidence delivering training to entry-level and career-switcher audiences
* A clear and engaging delivery style
* A supportive, learner-focused approach
* Experience in training, teaching, or mentoring (preferred)
