Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting children with additional needs?
Academics Rochester is currently recruiting for a strong KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school on the outskirts of Sittingbourne. This role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing targeted, compassionate support to KS2 pupils with additional needs
Supporting classroom teaching and learning activities tailored to individual needs
Assisting in managing behaviour and promoting positive social interactions
Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCO, and specialist staff
Helping to deliver interventions and promote independence in learning
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children with Autism and SEMH in a primary school setting
Strong understanding of additional needs and inclusive education
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to making a positive impact on pupils' learning and well-being
