We are looking for a Business Support Officer to join our Highways team.
About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Business Support Officer to join the Business Support Team for the Highways & Transportation Team based at Brompton-on-Swale.
The role of the team is to provide high quality, professional support to a range of operational teams within the Environment Service, liaising with internal and external customers. You must be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work effectively as part of a team to ensure deadlines are achieved.
This is a great introduction to how the Business Support and Highway Teams work together, supporting the community and is a fantastic opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding that may lead to further development in the Business Support or a career within the Highways teams.
About you:
You will be a highly motivated administrator with excellent customer care skills, as a key part of this role is to liaise with customers and other agencies on behalf of the operational team. You will be dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information, both written and verbal, and will liaise with members of the public and professionals. The day-to-day core focus is providing support to the operational and frontline services, and you will require excellent ICT skills and have experience of using Microsoft packages. The main aspect of this role will also include supporting the Area Leadership Team to reclaim charges which have been brought against the council
You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection, Equalities and Diversity and Health and Safety requirements for working within an office environment.
