About the Role
The main duties are to assist in the safe conveyance of service users to/from SEN schools, Adult and Learning Disability Day Services, for various activities and respite care needs. This involves helping service users leave their homes, board the vehicle, alight from the vehicle, and make their way to the appropriate service in a safe and dignified manner.
You will be required to work cooperatively with the vehicle driver and other staff involved to ensure passenger movements and journeys are completed safely and effectively to achieve the desired outcomes.
To maintain high standards of customer care, accuracy, safety, and effectiveness in all work tasks, with a mature and disciplined approach to duties.
About You
No formal qualifications are required for this position. You must hold a full driving license with a D, D1, or D1+101. You should have a good standard of general education and the ability to communicate and share information. The ability to handle challenging situations and be comfortable around people with learning and physical disabilities is essential. Successful candidates will undertake disability awareness and safeguarding training.
