About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Digital Adoption & Enablement Manager for a London Council to lead initiatives aimed at enhancing digital literacy and adoption within the organization and the wider community. Reporting to the Head of Digital & Products, this position offers the opportunity to shape digital transformation projects, from launching innovative digital tools to fostering a culture of innovation.
Main Responsibilities
The primary objective is to develop and implement strategies to optimize the adoption of new and existing technologies. The role involves developing digital skills internally and externally, overseeing digital inclusion initiatives, and managing line staff and budgets.
Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing the Digital Adoption & Enablement team to enhance digital capabilities.
* Implementing digital transformation initiatives and delivering strategies.
* Ensuring digital projects meet learning needs to enable confident adoption.
* Maintaining relationships with suppliers and partners.
* Defining and communicating a vision for digital adoption aligned with organizational goals.
* Developing initiatives to improve digital literacy and capabilities.
* Encouraging self-motivated learning.
* Leading a network of Change Champions to build skills and awareness.
* Driving adoption of technologies like Microsoft 365, Windows 11, and AI tools.
* Maximizing existing technology use for efficiency.
* Establishing a Tech Bar to boost digital confidence.
* Championing digital inclusion in the community.
* Representing the organization in professional networks.
* Leading an innovation network to solve challenges and foster new approaches.
* Creating an environment that encourages innovation in data and technology.
* Managing the digital learning budget.
What We Are Looking For
A self-driven, proactive individual with a passion for digital literacy and inclusion, strong communication skills, and experience in change management. Public sector experience and success in increasing digital skills are desirable.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience conducting organization-wide Learning Needs Analysis.
* Knowledge of various learning methodologies and change management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft products (Windows 10/11, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
* Understanding of project lifecycles (waterfall and agile).
* Awareness of digital skills challenges in organizations and communities.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to inspire and facilitate technology adoption.
* Experience managing multiple projects.
* Relevant qualifications and public sector knowledge.
* Experience increasing digital skills in similar organizations.
