A highly-regarded two-form entry primary school in Barnet, recently rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted, is looking for an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in SEMH to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team this September.
About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives in nurturing environments and is committed to making a lasting difference in children’s lives. You will be supporting pupils in EYFS who require tailored emotional and behavioural support, working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider pastoral team. The role focuses on building trusting relationships, providing consistent routines, and helping children develop key social and emotional skills.
Requirements
• Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs, particularly in EYFS or primary settings
• A patient, consistent, and empathetic approach to behaviour and emotional support
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• A good understanding of early childhood development and SEN strategies
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
