Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Wombwell– S73
Salary Range: £95 -£120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to support learning and inclusion at a welcoming school in Wombwell. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute meaningfully to students’ academic and personal development within a supportive environment.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to support individual pupils and small groups across a range of subjects. Your role will involve nurturing learning, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring that every child feels confident and encouraged to succeed.
Responsibilities as a TA:
* Support the class teacher with the delivery of high-quality lessons.
* Provide targeted 1:1 and group support to pupils who require additional help.
* Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and emotional resilience in learning.
* Assist with the preparation of resources and the classroom environment.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm, productive atmosphere.
* Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the teaching team.
* Help pupils develop social skills and confidence both in and out of the classroom.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
* Experience working in a school setting or with children in an educational capacity.
* A caring, adaptable, and proactive nature.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A good understanding of how to support pupils with varying learning needs.
* Relevant qualifications ( CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable.
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education).
