We’re recruiting on behalf of a major infrastructure authority for a Waste Engineer to join the team at Dungeness. This is a full-time, site-based role (Monday to Thursday) where your technical expertise will directly support the safe and compliant disposal of radioactive and non-radioactive waste.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Providing technical input across waste management operations and project delivery
Advising on compliance, characterisation, and radiological fingerprinting
Supporting the development of waste inventories and documentation
Investigating events and identifying process improvements
Sharing knowledge through mentoring and training deliveryWhat You’ll Bring:
HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a scientific, environmental or engineering discipline
Solid experience in nuclear waste management or decommissioning
Strong understanding of environmental legislation and waste compliance
Ability to work independently with a proactive, organised approach
Confident in authoring and verifying technical documentationBonus Points For:
Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor certification
International Movement of Dangerous Goods qualification
