Role Overview:
Responsible for supporting the Retail development of the Franchise business across all markets, business development, and optimizing overall sales/profitability. Supporting the Head of Brand Implementation & Central Operations & Local Franchise Partner
The strategic objectives include working closely with the Franchise Retail and Operations manager to support the overall business direction. Acting as a brand guardian for the JD brand and global process.
The role of the Retail Onboarding & Development Manager is to educate, nurture, and support franchise partners, ensuring teams are fully supported and driven to achieve the best possible representation of JD, maximizing sales, and meeting global standards.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Coach all aspects of the daily running of the Franchise retail operation, including trade, operations, visual merchandising, training, and development.
2. Work with and support partners on all setup procedures to successfully launch the franchise in each market.
3. Support forecasting, annual budgeting, cost control, and maximize store sales at various levels.
4. Coach franchise teams in store operations, team development, brand presentation, and customer experience.
5. Build strong cross-functional relationships within the organization and with franchise partners.
6. Use leadership skills to align stakeholders and deliver strategic projects.
7. Organize regular retail and operations meetings to review processes and improve communication.
8. Support property strategy execution, including store openings and closures.
9. Troubleshoot operational issues to improve efficiencies, systems, and processes.
10. Analyze data and provide actionable insights to the franchise team.
11. Coach compliance measures to mitigate legal and financial risks.
12. Work with the retail operations team to achieve standards across the region.
13. Support business performance through training, visual merchandising, KPI management, sales growth, and operational efficiency.
14. Conduct in-market visits to ensure brand guidelines are followed and provide additional training if needed.
15. Maintain training materials in line with global improvements.
16. Help drive operational efficiency and brand consistency across markets.
People and Talent Management:
1. Support the development and coaching of a high-performing regional retail team.
2. Encourage and support team development and motivation.
3. Develop and lead a scalable team with appropriate capabilities.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
* Experience in a similar role is essential.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
* Strong business acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting on a global scale.
* Proven ability to maximize store sales.
* Experience managing projects, stakeholder relationships, and quality execution.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of the JD Brand and corporate strategy.
