Overview
Are you a CAMHS nurse looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled and experienced Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our expanding CAMHS Alliance. You will support children, young persons and families when they need help and support the most.
Key Responsibilities
* Specialist mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions with adolescents and families.
* Support young people at‑risk of self‑harm in the community; Crisis and Home Treatment experience will be prioritised.
* Work with the thriving 3‑borough CAMHS Nursing Team; receive high quality supervision from a senior clinical nurse.
* Deliver comprehensive assessment, risk assessment and development of risk management plans for children and young people presenting in crisis to CAMH Services, hospitals and sites covered by the Alliance Crisis Care.
* Assist CAMHS and/or paediatrics teams with treatment planning and provide consultation to families/carers and other professionals involved in the life of the young person.
Crisis Pathways
* Acute Trust and out of hours’ service
* Intensive community support/Home Treatment service & Post A&E Review
* Intensive community support/Home Treatment + service with Tier 3 CAMHs interface and Tier 4 diversion/Tier 4 step down
Qualifications & Experience
Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist; registered mental health nurse; experience with specialist mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions with adolescents; experience in crisis and Home Treatment services preferred. Demonstrate commitment to engaging a culturally diverse population of young people and team collaboration.
