Role Summary
Job Title: Children’s Residential Care Worker
Location: Goole (DN14)
Hours: 40 hours per week including weekends and bank holidays
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team to ensure the children are looked after 24/7, creating a safe, loving, nurturing home.
* Complete household tasks to keep the home clean and tidy.
* Build relationships with the children – learn what they like, need and how best to support them.
* Plan and prepare home‑cooked meals.
* Organise activities and events around hobbies and interests to capture imagination and engagement.
* Follow and update care plans, handover sheets and other relevant documentation.
* Apply the therapeutic model to help children stay calm and feel safe during dysregulated moments.
* Support school attendance and engagement.
* Be a team player creating a great working environment within the home.
* Assist the Home Manager in achieving and maintaining an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding.
* Prioritise your continual development and be open to learning new things.

* Driver – a full UK licence is essential to use our home’s car for school runs and activities.
* Safe to work with children – an enhanced DBS with child barred list check is required.
