Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is now seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented CAD Engineer to join their dynamic design and engineering team. CAD Engineer – Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for components and assemblies using industry‑standard CAD software (SolidWorks).
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to develop accurate design solutions.
* Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with automotive standards.
* Revise and update technical drawings based on feedback and design changes.
* Maintain drawing records, BOMs, and technical documentation.
* Support prototype and product development projects.
CAD Engineer Skills & Experience
* Experienced CAD Designer with experience gained in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Strong proficiency in CAD software – SolidWorks.
* Understanding of manufacturing engineering principles, tolerances, and material specifications.
* Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
The CAD Engineer position is offering £35,000 - £40,000 basic salary plus great benefits for the successful candidate. This is a full‑time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm onsite at our client’s production site near York. Following an initial training period, hybrid flexibility will be offered to work 1–2 days home‑based per week.
