Role Overview
As a Clinical Lead Nurse for Palliative and End of Life Care you will provide evidence‑based specialist palliative care and advice to patients, families and staff to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred palliative care over 7 days. You will be responsible for the continued development of the service in collaboration with the Consultants and Assistant Director of Nursing for the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical and managerial leadership to the Specialist Palliative Care Team.
* Work collaboratively in the development of palliative and end‑of‑life care services.
* Provide specialist advice for complex referrals, advising the multidisciplinary teams on clinical management plans as required.
* Maintain good relationships/communications with all disciplines within the Trust.
* Act as a Lead in the development and implementation of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols.
* Ensure compliance with organisation policies and procedures and national, legal, and professional standards.
