Job Description
We are seeking a nurturing, dedicated, and proactive Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive school/nursery team based in Southport. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young children learn, develop, and thrive in a safe and engaging environment. The school has invested heavily within the EYFS department, creating an inspiring outdoor learning space and forest school.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children within the early years foundation stage, delivering phonics interventions and supporting children within continuous provision.
The Role
• Support teaching and learning within the classroom
• Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
• Assist with classroom preparation and educational resources
The Ideal Candidate
• A warm, patient, and caring approach.
• Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Requirements
• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
