Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Finance Manager to provide maternity cover. This hands-on role is crucial for supporting both UK operations and Group consolidation requirements. The successful candidate will manage entity reporting, financial controls, treasury, payroll oversight, tax compliance, intercompany reconciliation, stock management, budgeting, and audit coordination.

Day-to-day of the role:

* Group Financial Reporting: Handle monthly management accounts, manage group mapping files, own month-end journals, and prepare management commentary for director presentations.
* Intercompany & Group Consolidation: Conduct monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances, prepare and upload intercompany files, and liaise with Group Finance for consolidation adjustments.
* Sales & Margin Reporting: Perform monthly sales reporting, reconcile ERP data to CRM/BI systems, and validate margins.
* Project Costing & Profit Recognition: Review project costings with managers, validate stage payments, and manage deferred revenue.
* Cashflow & Treasury: Forecast monthly cashflow, manage bank reconciliations, and prepare quarterly UK cash reports for the Group.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Coordinate annual entity budget, perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and previous years.
* Tax & Compliance: Handle quarterly VAT returns, corporation tax payments, and support the P11D process.
* Payroll Oversight: Maintain payroll master data, process payroll payments, and reconcile PAYE and pension control accounts.
* Payments & Credit Control: Review and process supplier payment runs, manage foreign currency payments, and oversee credit control.
* Stock Management & Valuation: Coordinate annual stock take, review monthly stock valuation, and manage stock depreciation provision.
* Audit & Year-End: Act as the primary contact for external accountants and auditors, prepare audit schedules, and coordinate statutory accounts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Finance Manager.
* Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT, corporation tax, payroll, and statutory compliance.
* Experience with group reporting and intercompany reconciliations.
* Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
