ElectroMechanical Engineer (Days)
We're working with a large manufacturing business which operates 24/7 that is actively seeking to add an experienced ElectroMechanical Engineer to its Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.
Location: Near St Austell
Salary: £40,000 plus overtime
Shifts – 42 hours per week average across 3–4 shifts
Working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for 4 weeks, then rotating to Thursday, Friday, Saturday for 4 weeks and every other Sunday day shift on rotation
6.00am – 18.00pm with a 1 hour paid break
Responsibilities
* Responsible for day to day running, repairs and maintenance of all production related equipment, including breakdown repairs and continuous improvement project/task work
* Ordering of spares and general site facility tasks
* Diagnosing, repairing and performing servicing tasks which are both electrical and mechanical as an Electromechanical Engineer
* Operate open‑ended tasks requiring flexibility, enthusiasm and drive within a fast‑paced department
Qualifications
* Relevant training or apprenticeship
* Recognised industrial Electrical qualification; training and qualification to IEE 18th/19th edition preferred
* Experience working on drives and PCBs (specific training will be provided, OEM suppliers and remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM)
* Ability to work solo as an Electromechanical Engineer diagnosing, repairing and servicing tasks which are both electrical and mechanical
* Competent to operate a lathe; MIG/TIG welding skills preferable although not essential
* Experience as an Industrial Electrical Mechanical or Multiskilled Engineer (or similar) within Industrial, Manufacturing or Automation
* Any experience in the printing or packaging industry beneficial but not essential
* Experience with maintenance programmes within a large scale manufacturing environment
* Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills
* Self‑motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills are essential
