Warrington or Preston (hybrid working possible)
£44 - £61 per hour (Umbrella, inside IR35)
12-month contract
Must be eligible for BPSS clearance
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join a pioneering nuclear project that is shaping the future of clean energy and fuel security in the UK. The Role
As Senior EC&I Engineer, you'll be responsible for the delivery of engineering and technical activities, providing expertise across design, analysis, safety, and technical leadership. You will:
Lead and support engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.
Produce, review, and approve calculations, drawings, models, and technical documentation.
Contribute to project safety assessments and risk management processes.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead where required.
Support business development through input into tenders and proposals.
What We're Looking For
Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards).
Proven experience delivering EC&I engineering activities within complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to resolve engineering challenges across a range of complexities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
Membership of a relevant professional institute.
Experience managing engineering scope from concept through to EPC delivery.
Background in commercial or defence nuclear projects.
