Due to continued growth, investment and expansion, a leading manufacturer of complex engineered components to the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Energy Sectors has a new vacancy for Metrology Engineer to join the team.
The Role
* Develop, maintain, and improve measurement and inspection methods.
* Operate and program CMMs and other metrology equipment.
* Analyse measurement data and produce clear technical reports.
* Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
* Work with the Engineering team to develop new engineering projects to support business development.
* Work with and develop strong relationships with internal and external key partners.
* Maintain accurate production records and reports.
The Person
* Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in Engineering, Metrology, or a related field.
* Previous experience in the field of dimensional measurement.
* Have a practical 'hands on' approach.
* Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
* Experience of working in precision engineering environment.
* An understanding of CMM operation and programming would be beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to a team environment.
