Residential Childcare Practitioner – East Sussex County Council. This role focuses on supporting children in care in residential homes as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping children flourish and achieve their potential.
We have Children’s homes across the county where vulnerable children live and receive support. You will work with the children and their families to support development and wellbeing, and you can take a lead on specialist areas and projects such as healthy eating to support improvements across the service. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable children in East Sussex.
Responsibilities
 * Work with children and their families to support development and wellbeing.
 * Take a lead on specialist areas and projects (e.g., healthy eating) to improve outcomes across the service.
 * Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and maintain confidentiality at all times.
 * Work as part of an integrated childcare team.
Qualifications and experience
 * Experience of working with children and young people.
 * Interest in child development and a willingness to learn.
 * Ability to work as part of an integrated childcare team.
 * Commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect.
