Job Overview
Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist – Adult Eating Disorders – Band 7/8a. Permanent, part‑time (30 hours/week) based at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Truro Health Park.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical work in the Adult Eating Disorders Team, delivering evidence‑based individual, group and contextual therapies.
- Build and present integrative clinical formulations and comprehensive assessments.
- Supervise and provide formal and informal supervision to trainees, students, and assistants across professional groups.
- Chair weekly clinical consultation sessions and oversee the delivery and supervision of all assessments.
- Contribute to the development of community clinical pathways and psychological services for the client group.
- Represent the clinical team in multidisciplinary meetings and liaise with other trusts where required.
- Act as deputy to the Clinical Lead/Team Manager when needed.
- Manage frequent travel to multiple locations throughout Cornwall, ensuring accessibility for all clients.
Key Duties
- Deliver high quality psychological care to adults with complex eating disorders and comorbidities.
- Integrate multiple therapeutic models into a cohesive treatment plan.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to junior staff and interprofessional partners.
- Participate in service improvement projects and policy implementation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post‑graduate doctoral level training in clinical counselling psychology.
- Current HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Evidence of training and experience in supervision, including managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
