Finance Business Partner (6-Month Contract)
The Opportunity
- This is a high-impact Finance Business Partner role at a pivotal moment for the business. Following a recent acquisition-and with further deals in the pipeline-you'll play a key role in shaping financial insight and supporting decision-making in a fast-evolving, Private Equity-backed environment.
- This position offers a rare blend of strategic exposure and hands‑on delivery. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, contribute to board‑level reporting, and get directly involved in the financial integration and performance of a growing group.
- If you enjoy operating at the intersection of FP&A and management accounting-and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves-this role offers both challenge and visibility.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Partnering & Commercial Insight:
- Act as a trusted partner to departmental heads, providing clear insight into monthly performance vs budget
- Investigate and explain variances, challenge assumptions, and drive accountability
- Support better decision‑making through actionable financial analysis
Reporting & Board Exposure:
- Lead on the preparation of high‑quality management reporting, including board packs
- Deliver clear, concise commentary tailored for senior stakeholders
- Support project‑level analysis, including profitability and performance tracking
Forecasting & Planning:
- Translate pipeline/workbank data into robust financial forecasts and forward‑looking insights
- Support budgeting and reforecasting cycles in a dynamic environment
Hands‑On Finance Support:
- Contribute to month‑end close where needed, including posting journals
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems (Rock, Oracle)
- Bring a 'no job too small' mindset when supporting the wider finance function
Growth & Integration:
- Support the integration of acquisitions and evolving reporting structures
- Help build scalable processes and improve financial visibility across the group
Why This Role Stands Out
- Direct exposure to senior leadership and board‑level decision‑making
- Opportunity to play a key role in an active M&A environment
- Varied role combining commercial insight with hands‑on delivery
